Questions
Do you have any advice for a new writer?

Yes…practice, practice and more practice.  Treat writing as you would a sport, art, or other interest.  If you enjoy writing, the “practice” part comes much more easily.  I spend many hours researching and outlining before I put the pen to the pad.  My early  drafts are often junk.  But it gets my brain going.  I suggest setting aside quiet time so you can really focus.  Play music if the mood strikes to help stir creative juices.  I also love to read the work of others who inspire me.  Hope this helps and thanks for asking.  Good luck!
